Loco Dice

Every so often a DJ or producer comes along who inspires the collective imagination.

If you’ve seen Loco Dice perform at his ten-year-long house residency in his hometown Dusseldorf, or Notat DC-10 in Ibiza (from 2002-2006), you will have realised this. Loco Dice is someone who can puzzle together intangible moods with a direct approach. Via his DJ sets or his productions on labels like Desolat, M_nus, Cadenza, Ovum, Four Twenty and Cocoon, he merges perspectives in his delicate sense for sounds and reflective atmospheres, underpinned with solid, physical grooves inspired by the hip hop that was his early sonic stomping ground in the mid-late 90s. There’s something there for the dreamers, as well as for the 9-to-5ers who just want to lose everything in a moment of abandon on the dance floor.

Fisher

Australian tech-house producer Paul Fisher (aka Fisher) brings a sense of carefree fun to his productions, which strip away pretenses to focus on serving the dancefloor.

Fisher was born and raised on the Gold Coast of Australia, where he pursued a career as a professional surfer for many years. The lifestyle came with its fair share of parties, incentivizing Fisher to take up DJing in 2005, although it wouldn’t be until 2011 that he turned his hand to production. His initial tracks were released as part of Cut Snake alongside fellow producer and surfer Leigh Sedley. Fisher eventually went solo in 2017, going on to release a string of singles such as “Ya Kidding,” “Stop It,” and “Ya Didn’t” all on Dirtybird. In 2018, he released his breakout track, “Losing It,” this time via Catch & Release; the track went to number one on the Australian Club Tracks chart. ~ Liam Martin, Rovi

Booka Shade (Live)

Berlin-based duo Booka Shade (Walter Merziger & Arno Kammermeier) are considered one of the most celebrated electronic acts to come out of Europe over the past two decades.

Originally from Frankfurt, Booka Shade quickly gained a strong following within electronic music. In 2002 they formed the now legendary dance label Get Physical Music (together w/ M.A.N.D.Y., Thomas ‘DJ T.’ Koch and Peter Hayo). In 2005 the band release the international successes ‘Mandarine EP’ & ‘Body Language’ (co-prod. w/ M.A.N.D.Y.) launching them into the stratosphere.

Since their Sónar break-through in 2005 Booka Shade earned huge recognition with their innovative live shows. Opening for legendary acts such as Depeche Mode & Kraftwerk & headlining stages inc. Coachella, Glastonbury, Rock Werchter & Red Rocks. They have been named one of Resident Advisor’s Top 5 live acts in the world & DJ Mag’s ’10 Unforgettable Sets From The History Of Exit Festival’. Booka Shade were recently inducted into Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 Hall of Fame

Pnau (DJ set)

PNAU is the multi-platinum selling, ARIA award winning electronic act of Nick Littlemore (Empire of the Sun), Peter Mayes and Sam Littlemore, famed for their extensive career born out of the underground clubs and festival dance floors of Australia. With a catalogue of their own hits and multiple albums behind them, PNAU have enjoyed a powerful renaissance over the past few years.

PNAU’s 2019 single, the disco-tinged ‘Solid Gold’ featuring Kira Divine and Marques Toliver, embedded PNAU as the most cutting edge electronic act to watch on a global scale, finding a loyal fan base amongst the most influential decision makers at BBC Radio 1, triple j and streaming services across the globe. PNAU wrapped up 2019 with their next epic creation ‘All Of Us’ – an undeniable dance anthem, as euphoric as it is energetic. Forever progressing their style and sound, PNAU welcome US singer Ollie Gabriel into the creative fold for the first time as feature artist, delivering a soulful vocal, urging people to come together, be free and lose themselves to dance.

To this day, the group maintain their reputation as one of “Australia’s Best Festival Acts” (inthemix), welcoming both Kira Divine and Ollie Gabriel to their colourful and electric live show and appearing at festivals including Splendour In The Grass, Field Day and Falls Festival in recent years.

HoneyLuv (USA)

From a basketball player, turned U.S Navy sailor, turned DJ/Producer, HoneyLuv is a force to be reckoned with. Hailing from a city filled with house culture, Cleveland’s own HoneyLuv is currently taking the dance music scene by storm.

She made her first debut with spinning Hip Hop and R&B music on Dash Radio as a Guest DJ for celebrity trainer Corey Calliet’s “Issa Lifestyle” radio show and playing for all the hottest urban parties in Los Angeles. She then later on switched over to dance music, her first love. HoneyLuv has established herself in the dance music world by playing online for notable festivals such as Desert Hearts and House Nation Music.

She recently started her own radio show powered by Ill Donuts Radio called “House of Honey” to showcase the underground dance music culture and to shed light on the culture of where House music generated. For HoneyLuv, it’s all about creating a groovy vibe, and an unforgettable experience.

Little Fritter

There aren’t many humans on this planet that deal in unabashed, fruity fun like Australia’s Little Fritter.

Over the last decade, the Gold Coast-based artist has peddled his multicolored good times across the dance scene, first as a DJ and promoter in his homeland with regular slots and residences at some of the country’s most-loved events such as Melbourne’s Revolver, Lost Paradise, Future Music, The BUNKER, Subsonic and further abroad at international institutions including Love Parade and Club De Visionaere in Berlin, Barcelona’s Off-Sonar, and Below in the UK, among many others.

As a producer, Fritter’s sound really took hold with a set of releases on Moon Harbour, Hudd Traxx, and One Records, with each record showcasing his raw talent for insatiable grooves and tunes that lock you on the dancefloor with intoxicating allure. And it wasn’t just the dancers that were drawn to Fritter’s rhythms; midway through 2013, he was called on to remix none other than house don Ricardo Villalobos—a honorable tip of the hat from the undisputed master of the groove.

Richard Penny

Richy Penny hails from Sydney and found a love for music, grooving his way through the infamous Kings Cross era. His first encounter on a set of CDJ’s was back in early 2013’s in the garage of the old ZANEROBE office on Sydney’s north shore. Lucky enough to be taught the fundamentals by non-other than the Don, Robbie Lowe he quickly started on support circuit. Having previously had the pleasure of warming up for the likes of FISHER, Nic Fanciulli, Kaz James, Rufus Du Sol, Set Mo, Bagraiders, Little Fritter, and Cut Snake to name a few. Richy brings a wealth of vibe and great energy which is why he lands these gigs amongst his peers, he also knows how to have a good time. Now, when it comes to national tours, Richy is the piece of the puzzle that will fit any dynamic and we can’t wait to watch him flare in November.

Tina Says

Bouncy and broody in equal measure, Tina Says’ latest offering sees the Perth producer dig deeper into her electro-house roots and Mediterranean influence.

Showing no signs of slowing down, Tina Says has since released multiple singles, including ‘Check It’ and ‘Sweat’, performed to audiences of around 12K at Hot Dub Wine Machine, and supported Dillon Francis on his last Australian tour. Tina Says has well and truly cemented her status as one of Perth’s most in-demand DJs and one of the most promising producers coming out of Australia.

Influenced by fun, jungle sounds such as Sofi Tukker, Mele, Zhu and mixed with some progressive beauty such as Bicep, Daphni – we give you Tina Says!
